Instruction and Guiding- Terms and Conditions

 

Prices

All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs. Where payments are made using Euros, the service provider’s current exchange rate will be applied. The activity prices cover the costs of the lesson/ activity. It does not include rental equipment, accommodation costs, transportation costs (lift system, cable cars, trains) or food and drink during the activity.  

 

Bookings

All The Mountain Company bookings must be made in advance. Bookings can be made through the website, over the phone, or in person. Upon making a booking the participant(s) acknowledge that these general terms and conditions form part of the contract between themselves and The Mountain Company. 

 

In order for the course instructor to take the appropriate measures, it is important that any dietary requirements, medical needs, or concerns are communicated in advance. This ensures that your wishes and concerns regarding these matters can be accommodated effectively prior to the activity beginning.

 

Insurance

Activities booked with The Mountain Company do not include insurance. The Mountain Company is not responsible for any injury or losses which occur during the activity. We recommend that our clients get the appropriate sports insurance prior to the session start.


 

Cancellations

In case of cancellation, the following applies- 

 

Cancellation seven days or more prior to booking start is free of charge, minus a 5% admin fee.

Cancellation within seven days prior to booking start 50% of the total fee is chargeable.

Cancellation within 48 hours of session start 100% of the total fee is chargeable. 

Cancellation due to sickness or lateness is not eligible for reschedule or refund, clients are recommended to take out appropriate insurance to cover them in case of cancellation.

 

Partial lift area closure due to mechanical failure or adverse weather conditions is not eligible for a refund. 

 

Complete closure of the lift area due to adverse weather or technical and mechanical failure is eligible for a full refund. 

 

Liability

The Mountain Company and the course/session instructor does not bear responsibility for accidents that occur during any lessons, tours and activities. Complete safety from the objective dangers in the mountains cannot be guaranteed. The client acknowledges the inherent residual risks associated with outdoor activities, which persist despite careful and prudent guidance. 

Any claims for damages arising from errors in illustrations, prices, or texts are not permissible.

 

Images

The Mountain Company retains the right to use any images the company or course Instructor takes for marketing purposes. However, the customer has the option to withdraw their consent for the use and sharing of data and images at any time by sending an email to info@themountaincompany.ch or by informing their Instructor. Rest assured, any client data necessary for our business operations will be handled with strict confidentiality.

 

Alterations 

The Mountain Company GmBh reserves the right to make alterations to these terms and conditions and all advertising material at any time. By using our website or making a booking, you agree to use the current version of our terms.

 

Dispute 

If at any time a client is unhappy with the service, let us know immediately and we will endeavour to resolve the request as soon as possible.

 

For any claims against The Mountain Company GmBh, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zermatt, Valais, Switzerland.
