Yes. We deliberately work with trusted local businesses for equipment rental, transfers, accommodation and experiences. It means better, more reliable service for you, and it supports Zermatt's local economy and community. Combined with the village's car-free setting and low-impact ways to enjoy the mountains, it's also a more sustainable way to travel, and we're happy to suggest greener options where they exist.

A lesson focuses on improving your technique through structured coaching, while guiding is about showing you the mountain, finding the best snow, the quietest runs and the hidden spots that make the most of your day. Many guests mix both: some coaching in the morning, exploring in the afternoon. Our guides move between the two seamlessly.

It depends what you're after. The main ski season runs from roughly late November to early May, with the most reliable snow and sunshine from January to March; the Christmas holidays and February half-term are the busiest and priciest. For hiking and biking, summer (June to August) is glorious, with village temperatures typically around 12 to 22°C in July. Zermatt is also one of the few resorts with year-round skiing on the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Tell us your priorities and we'll recommend the ideal window.

On a standard mountain bike you cover the terrain under your own steam, which is ideal if you're already a confident rider; e-mountain bikes add motor assistance so you can climb higher and go further with far less effort, perfect for big scenery and mixed-ability groups without needing to be super-fit. You don't need to bring a bike either: we arrange quality mountain bikes and e-bikes, plus helmets and safety kit, through trusted local partners.

We offer half-day and full-day guided tours, around three or five hours, and we stay flexible to adapt to your group and the conditions on the day.

Our guided e-bike tours run through the summer season, from June to the end of September, when the trails are open and at their best.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers winter sports and/or mountain activities, including mountain rescue and medical cover. Off-piste and high-alpine activities in particular should be covered, so do check your policy includes the specific things you'll be doing. (We're not insurers, so this is general guidance rather than advice.)

Off-piste guiding takes you beyond the marked runs to find fresh snow and quieter terrain. Safety is central: our guides carry and provide safety equipment, give a thorough briefing, monitor conditions closely and adjust routes as needed. We match the terrain to your ability and never push beyond what's sensible for the day's conditions.

For guiding, your price covers your private guide and safety equipment; lift passes and rental equipment are usually extra, but we arrange them for you so they're ready on arrival. Zermatt offers a Zermatt-only pass and an International pass that also covers the Italian side (Cervinia). For tailored holidays, your proposal sets out clearly what's included, such as accommodation, transfers, guiding and reservations, and what sits outside it, with no hidden surprises.

Zermatt is a car-free village, so you can't drive all the way in. If you drive, you park in Täsch (about 7 km away, with 2,100+ covered spaces) and take the shuttle train, which runs every 20 minutes and takes about 12 minutes. By train it's roughly 3.5 to 4 hours from Zurich or Geneva airports, changing at Visp onto the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. We can arrange private or first-class transfers door to door as part of your holiday, so just ask.

It's a relaxed, guided way to discover Zermatt's highlights with a local: the Gornergrat railway and its Matterhorn panorama, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the charming corners of the old village, the best viewpoints and the stories behind them. Ideal for non-hikers, families or anyone who wants the best of the area at an easy pace.

Yes. Because every tour is private and tailored, we happily adapt the pace and route so everyone in the group enjoys the ride, whatever their level.

We always aim to be fair, and where a session can't safely run due to weather or conditions we'll work with you to reschedule or find an alternative. We also recommend appropriate travel and winter-sports insurance to cover cancellation beyond anyone's control. (To personalise: insert your cancellation terms, such as deposit refundability, cut-off dates and weather/safety cancellations.)

Your guide is trained to manage on-mountain incidents, will coordinate any mountain rescue or medical help needed, and stays with your group throughout. We share direct contact details for your trip so you can always reach us quickly.

Rental equipment isn't included in the guiding price, but we arrange it for you through trusted local partners so it's ready and waiting in your size, with no queuing on your first morning. Safety equipment for off-piste guiding is provided by your guide.

Absolutely. It's one of our specialities and a big part of why we're a great fit for families and mixed groups. Within the same group we can have advanced skiers off-piste, beginners in private lessons, children in their own activity guiding, and non-skiers enjoying spa days, scenic train rides up the Gornergrat, winter walks or snowshoeing. We plan around everyone's age, ability and energy, then bring the group back together in the evenings.

We plan family days around what children enjoy and can manage: easy scenic hikes, lake visits, marmot-spotting, e-bike outings for older children and the mountain's summer attractions. Our guides keep it fun and paced for younger legs, so parents can relax and enjoy it too.
